Meet Poppy – A Voice for Our Community Poppy has lived in Langton Matravers with her family for nearly ten years.

Her two children attend local schools, and her mother has been part of the Swanage community for many years.

She works full time in sustainability and energy for a not-for-profit organisation, championing local investment in cleaner power and highlighting the benefits it brings to communities like Swanage. Poppy has contributed to talks and events for Planet Purbeck and the local Climate Action Network.

A keen walker and sea swimmer, Poppy is passionate about protecting the beautiful beaches and natural environment of Purbeck.

She is deeply concerned about the lack of affordable housing and opportunities for young people and families in the area. That’s why she strongly supports the Liberal Democrat plans to build more affordable homes for local people and attract well-paid, sustainable jobs to Swanage.

As a mum of young children, Poppy is a familiar face at Swanage Hospital’s Minor Injuries Unit. Having personally benefitted from the ambulance car during a family health crisis, she is committed to ensuring local health services are protected and strengthened.
