Amy Hardy is standing for the Green Party in Talbot and Branksome Woods because she knows what it means to struggle, and what it means to be lifted up by your community.

Full statement

Growing up locally, Amy faced serious challenges including homelessness, domestic violence, and disability. But it was her neighbours who helped her back on her feet. That support shaped her values, and now she’s determined to give back.

Amy’s campaign is about more than fixing what’s broken, it’s about rebuilding something better. She’s already been working year-round to clean up green spaces, support vulnerable residents, and fight for safer streets and fairer services. From organising litter picks to pushing for better transport and restoring public spaces, Amy’s actions speak louder than promises.

Her priorities reflect what people in Talbot and Branksome Woods actually need:
- The return of youth clubs and community-run initiatives
- Restoring high streets and protecting green spaces
- Tackling fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour with hands-on care
- Improving travel for all road users, especially those who rely on buses or lifts
- Supporting local traders and celebrating community with street-party style events
- Responding to real concerns, from potholes to public safety with urgency and respect

Amy’s not here to talk down to anyone or toe a party line. She’s here to listen, act, and build a community that includes everyone. Her councillor allowance will go directly into local upkeep, because for Amy, public service means showing up, not just speaking up.

She’s lived through the cracks in the system. Now she’s ready to help close them - for good.
