Full statement
She’s not a career politician — she’s one of us. She’s lived the challenges so many in our community face, and she’s ready to be a strong, visible voice for Paulsgrove on the council.
Sydna’s message is clear: Paulsgrove deserves better.
Too many politicians only show up at election time. Sydna will be there all year round, fighting for safer streets, better youth services, and support for our local shops and families.
This by-election is a straight fight between Labour and Reform.
On one side: Labour is delivering — more police with new powers to tackle anti-social behaviour (which Reform voted against), cutting NHS waiting lists, giving working people a pay rise, and investing £20 million directly into Paulsgrove to tackle local issues.
On the other: Reform only offer noise and no answers. Nigel Farage and his colleagues will complain. They’ll shout. They’ll blame. But they never have a plan. Ask them how they’ll fix the NHS? “Don’t know.” What would they replace it with? “Don’t know.” Even their headline immigration policy fell apart within 24 hours. Reform know what they don’t like — but not how to fix it.
That’s the choice: A local champion like Sydna Phillips, backed by a party delivering for Paulsgrove or a party with no plan, no answers, and no results.
