Statement to voters

Born and raised in Newport, I've spent my life connected to our local community.

Full statement

Like many families in our area, mine has deep roots in the region's proud industrial heritage and I am proud to be the descendant of steelworkers from here in our city.

After graduating from University, I eventually became the Director for a polling/market research agency, specialising in transport, and have spent time in the Reserves. This experience taught me invaluable lessons about leadership, service, and the importance of working together to overcome the shared challenges we face.

Throughout my 16 years of Labour activism, as a Branch and Constituency Chair I've worked tirelessly to represent our community's interests and fight for the issues that matter most to the people of Newport and Islwyn.

Hope for Our Communities

As the Senedd expands, this is a generational moment for our party and our country. I want to be part of that change. I joined the Labour Party in 2007, inspired by the values of equality and social justice.

In that same tradition, I want to take that young enthusiasm into this campaign so that we can overcome the fear Reform bring with them with hope for the future.

Fighting for What Matters

Newport and Islwyn need a strong voice in the Senedd. I've spent 16 years fighting for our community as a Labour activist, and I know what matters to our families.

From protecting our NHS to creating good jobs and building affordable homes, I will be the champion our community deserves.

Local Roots, National Vision

Born and bred in Newport, I understand the challenges we face because I've lived them. As the son and grandson of steelworkers, I know the value of hard work and community spirit.

By bringing together our members local understanding and skills, and choosing the right candidates, we can deliver change not just here but for all of Wales.

A Proven Track Record

Throughout my time as CLP Chair and Branch Chair, I've built teams, delivered results, and fought for our values. I've helped turn our local party into the campaigning machine it can be.

Now I'm ready to take that energy and commitment to the Senedd, where I'll work tirelessly for Newport and Islwyn.

Building Our Future Together

This election is about more than just choosing a representative. It's about choosing the kind of future we want for our children and grandchildren.

Together we can build a future where everyone in Newport and Islwyn has the opportunity to thrive, and I'm standing because I want to help build that future with you.
