Statement to voters
I ask for your trust and your vote as Alderman of Coleman Street Ward on February 5th, 2026.
Full statement
Sir Peter Estlin gave extraordinary service to our Ward, was Lord Mayor in 2018/19 and announced his retirement.
I am delighted to confirm that I have received nominations from local Ward voters and been encouraged to stand as a candidate for the vacancy.
My knowledge of the City and our Ward is extensive. I believe I have the qualities to make a positive contribution as Alderman.
I am a Chartered Accountant with 30+ years experience. I have worked with many clients & businesses within the Ward including professional services, financial services, legal firms , investment management, corporate finance, insurance & overseas banks.
I served as a member of the Council of Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) for over 16 years in a role similar to a Non-Executive Director/Trustee, focusing on strategy, governance and oversight.
As a serial entrepreneur of multiple SMEs, I have direct personal experience with the challenges facing small businesses in the Ward.
What makes me different? I am not a politician! I will serve as an Independent working solely for the best interest of the City! I am an Entrepreneur and a Professional wanting to ‘give something back and make a difference.'
Listening to the needs of our Ward, I will deliver what you seek. I have proven this in two recent charitable initiatives. Firstly by helping redistribute over 2.5 million free meals to Londoners in need in the last two years. Secondly by restarting the City Prostate Cancer Awareness and Screening Programme in 2024 after an absence of many years. The next screening is on April 17th in the City. Men - please save the date!
My passion is to ‘have an impact’ and to 'make things happen' in our great City and our Ward.
My top priority is supporting the City of London Corporation. We must take proactive steps to ensure the City remains the premier destination for attracting overseas businesses. This growth will stimulate opportunities for every sector locally including professional services, tech, hospitality, leisure, retail, property and SMEs.
I celebrate the traditions, culture and heritage of the City and the Livery Companies. I hold office within The Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs, am a Liveryman of the THE WORSHIPFUL COMPANY OF CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS IN ENGLAND AND WALES, a Patron of the Entrepreneurs Charitable Trust and a member of the Coleman Street Ward Club.
I am happy to meet or answer any questions personally. I promise a prompt 24 hours response as I am a person of action.
I have achieved what I desire for myself and my family. I will give passion, high energy, commitment and focus to the role. I hope you will trust me with your vote. I will only feel I have succeeded when I deliver that to you.
