Macsene has lived in Milton Keynes for over 20 years.

She is married with a teenage daughter, and works as a Process Engineering Consultant in the energy sector where she designs “green” technology add-ons for existing facilities.
She has been a Parish Councillor in Broughton and Milton Keynes Village Parish for over 5 years, where she works to help young people thrive. This year she has helped to secure funding and access to mental health for young people in the Parish. She looks forward to helping young people across the ward as a city councillor.
She wants to work with residents of all ages to improve life in the community and has met with people at local warm spaces, parish events, litter picking and other community events. She has worked with Oakgrove School to reduce litter along the H7, and got streetlights and potholes fixed and graffiti, litter and fly-tipping removed from across Ouzel Valley ward.
In her spare time she likes to read and is trying to write a novel.
