It is a privilege to be the Labour candidate for Renfrewshire North & Cardonald, standing for election to the Scottish Parliament.

As a retired consultant surgeon at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley with over 27 years of experience, I know the NHS in Scotland inside out — and I know that only Labour, the party of the NHS, can fix it.
After 19 years of SNP government, we have widespread failure in public services across the NHS, education, local government, transport and infrastructure. The people of Scotland, and our economy, cannot flourish in such an environment. The SNP are solely responsible. We must strongly state that and make the case for change.
