I’ve lived in Lea Bridge for more than a decade and I love being part of the vibrant, diverse and welcoming community here.

I enjoy being active in the local area; my community work includes scrutinising development plans, organising community forums & street parties and successfully pressuring the council to tackle illegal car meets nearby.

I am a documentary filmmaker, a profession that is based on giving people a voice. It has equipped me with the skills essential in a local councillor, including the ability to research any given topic and communicate it effectively to varied audiences. I collaborate with interested parties from all walks of life, whilst producing tangible results on time and within budget.

What Liz stands for

Lea Bridge is one of the most deprived wards in the borough, and it feels like an afterthought to our current council. We face unprecedented change here, including thousands of new homes built on flood plains and dangerously contaminated land. We need representation from people who care about this community and have the skills and passion to stand up for it.

The homes built here must be suitable for long-term living and affordable for everyone. We must not allow the council to continue breaking their commitments to us – where is our promised health centre? Why are they building on our parks and removing the greenbelt protections of our land?

Lea Bridge is my home – and I pledge to represent my community in the council.
