Statement to voters

I feel proud to announce that I am a Nominated Candidate for REFORM UK and have an opportunity to represent and stand in the Elections in Leeds, UK on 7th May 2026.

Full statement

I am a proud British Muslim with Indian origin and am an Immigrant to UK. I have always been an advocate for the frail and elderly and helped everyone to the best of my ability as a Financial Advisor and as local community helper. I have 25 years of Banking and Finance experience working with HSBC, Barclays , Santander
My decision was based on what I have faced in past 2 years.
I went through a very very tough time in my life ( diagnosed with Cancer and given 8 months to live but survived against odds, Domestic Abuse, Etc) and was failed by the system and the Government. All my appeals for help and support fell on deaf ears .
As a result my Health, job, my company and my personal life suffered with major consequences.
This is when , instead of breaking Down completely, I decided to do something about it.
I want to make sure what I went through doesn't happen to others. I want to make a change for the better , improve and speed the system . Make our land , space and community a better place to live and enjoy with dignity . Make UK great again.
Proud moment for my Parents and Family in India too. I speak Bengali, Hindi, Urdu and English fluently.
I have been nominated for awards for community. I run an Elderly CIC called D Dance Theatre CIC which helps people living with long term illness and the elderly to recover and cope with Bollywood Dancing
