Full statement
A lifelong independence supporter and veteran campaigner and author. The Alliance To Liberate Scotland party is standing on a single platform, Scottish independence. Independence is essential to provide both the political power and the ability to create an economy which can fund the improvements we all want to see in our public services. We are asking independence supporters to give us their vote on the Regional List ballot. Due to the D'Hondt voting system the SNP won no list seats in 2021 in the West of Scotland region despite polling 152,000 votes, almost 70,000 more than the next biggest party, Labour. The same will happen this year. That is why we are asking for your Regional List vote (peach coloured ballot) on May 7th to maximise the number of independence supporting MSPs at Holyrood.
