I was born and brought up on a farm and went to the Agricultural College.
Full statement
My first job was up Glenisla. Even as a young man I could see the effects of Government interference and soon I wanted something else.
I joined the Army and trained as a surveyor, travelling the World extensively. This gave me a much broader perspective on life and experienced how other parts of the World manage their
affairs. When I retired from the Military as a Regimental Sergeant Major I retrained to enter the London Finance Sector. After a period I set up my own business in Manchester, which I later sold. On taking early retirement I returned to Scotland and built my own home.
