I’m an RAF veteran, former vocational training manager for a Sunderland charity, and now work as a Quality Consultant for a vocational qualification awarding body.
For too long, consecutive Labour councils in Sunderland have taken Washington and Springwell Village for granted. After more than half a century of control, they’ve poured money into the city centre and seafront while hitting us with above-inflation council tax rises, yet delivered little in the way of services for Springwell Village, Blackfell, Ayton and Oxclose.
We deserve far better!
That’s why I’m standing. If you elect me and the other Reform UK candidates as your councillors on 7th May, you will never be ignored again. We will always be there, standing up for Springwell Village and the whole Washington West ward – fighting for what matters most to you.
This election gives us a real chance to send a clear message to Keir Starmer and Westminster, and to change local politics for good. It’s a straight fight between Reform UK and Labour.
A Reform-led council would bring exciting plans for the area, including better youth services and improved parks. I will put local residents first and ensure Washington West is never overlooked again.
My priorities include:
• Improving road safety - fixing potholes and tackling dangerous and reckless driving
• Protecting our green belt, parks and heritage
• Improving social cohesion by cracking down on crime and anti-social behaviour
