Michaela Martin's policies
Statement to voters
Michaela has called Farnham home for over 30 years, raising her family here and working as an independent local retailer.
Full statement
She has spent her time as a Councillor working with residents, schools and community groups to secure funding, support local initiatives and strengthen the places people rely on every day. Her work has helped revitalise much loved community assets such as Bourne Pavilion, where she supported improvements to make it a more usable space for clubs and classes, and Brambleton Hall, helping fund essential refurbishment so it can continue hosting everything from toddler groups to community meetings.
She also backed the creation of new youth activity space at the Jubilee Hub, giving young people a safe, welcoming place to meet. Michaela has supported upgrades at St Peter's Primary School, including the Daily Mile track, and improvements at Rowledge Cricket Club, helping ensure these facilities remain central to local life. These are places residents use daily - where children learn, clubs gather and the community comes together.
Her priorities for the new West Surrey Council are:
• Securing funding for projects that strengthen Farnham
• Improving safety, accessibility and public spaces
• Supporting a thriving, sustainable local economy
