Statement to voters
Labour are delivering for Ipswich
Labour-run Ipswich Borough Council is investing £70m to regenerate the town centre over the next four years.
Full statement
Labour has given Suffolk County Council a record £219million to fix Suffolk’s roads but the Conservatives running the council are spending it in the rural areas where they live. Labour will spend the money where it is needed – fixing Ipswich’s crumbling roads.
Reform took control of many councils last year promising to protect services, make savings and cut council tax. Instead they have descended into chaos and cut services, increased senior staff pay to £200,000 and hiked council tax by up to 9%. We cannot afford Reform in Ipswich!
Traffic chaos in Ipswich needs action and strong leadership. Only Labour are campaiging for the Northern Bypass we desperately need. Other parties, including Reform and The Green Party, are blocking it. More than 3,000 people have already signed our petition supporting a northern bypass, please add your name here https://tinyurl.com/backthebypass.
Vote Labour For Unity not Division
In Ipswich it will be Labour or Reform
