Statement to voters
If elected as your County Councillor for Alton Town, I will champion the safety and well-being of everyone who lives, works, and travels in the division.
Full statement
I pledge to:
-Sort out our traffic and make our streets safer.
I will push for 20mph limits on residential roads, better crossings for pedestrians, and proper cycle routes to the station and our schools so families can choose to leave the car at home.
-Defend the services our town relies on.
I will oppose any cuts to Alton Library and the Household Waste Recycling Centre, and I will fight for a fair funding deal from central government so our council does not go bankrupt on our watch.
-Support young people and families.
I will champion affordable youth services, protect funding for our local schools, and work to make sure Alton has the activities and spaces our young people need to thrive.
