Vanessa has lived in Sussex for over 20 years, the last 14 in East Grinstead.

Vanessa is the CEO of a lobby group representing universities across the UK including the University of Brighton. Vanessa was the first in her family to go to university and is a committed campaigner for the right of every young person to have access to high quality tertiary education.
Vanessa joined the civil service from university and worked for 23 years in a variety of key government and non-government departments including employment, education, environment and Olympic / Paralympic sport. Vanessa has a child at one of the local senior secondary schools.
Vanessa will be a vocal advocate on the County Council for the 3 Es: education, employment and the environment.
