Statement to voters

Colin has lived in the Diss area for the last 14 years.

Full statement

He was a police officer, leading a murder squad in London for the last nine of his 30 years’ service.

Since retiring from the police he has written three books, collaborated in writing two ITV dramas and written and presented four seasons of a true crime show for Sky.
Colin is an active member of Diss Golf Club and spends the rest of his spare time caring for and showing his four Curly-Coated Retrievers.

He is the chair of Reform UK Waveney Valley branch, and the national Police and Crime Adviser for Reform UK HQ.

Colin sees being a County Councillor as an extension of his police career. Having spent 30 years trying to protect and serve the community, representing Diss and Roydon would enable him again to make a positive difference in the area where he lives.

Naturally, he has a strong interest in crime and anti-social behaviour, believing that policing should pay particular attention to the quality of life for the law-abiding in the community. He will press for greater visibility of officers throughout the district, foot patrols in the town and for rigorous action to be taken against those who break the law.

He is though also ready to be a champion for other issues in the district – specifically the scourge of the pylons, the disquiet at the proliferation of solar farms and, of course, the dire state of traffic management in the town centre.

Colin’s long career in public service left him angry at the waste of public money, both in how much is paid for supplies and in the awarding of expensive contracts. He will delight in holding the County Council to account for how it spends your council tax.
He believes that the UK, both nationally and locally, is on the brink of becoming broken beyond repair – and that the only chance to repair the damage inflicted by the Tories and now Labour is for Reform UK to take charge.

The Tory County Council conspired with the Labour government to try to cancel your right to elect a full County Council this year -a denial of democracy on which our Green Member of Parliament was noticeably silent. This election is going ahead only because Reform UK fought the Government and won. It is your chance to send a message to the other parties.

Reject the tired Tories, the incompetence of Labour and the crazy, dangerous Greens. Elect Colin as your Reform UK County Councillor – for the sake of Diss and Roydon, and of Norfolk and of the whole country.
