Statement to voters

About Richard Wild
Hi, I’m Richard.

Full statement

I was born in London and have been a resident of Markhouse now for over 20 years. I’m a criminologist and university lecturer but have always also been a human rights and trade union activist. I started a street group during lock down and do what I can supporting various local community and environmental groups.

It made sense to step up and see what I could do as a member of the Green Party in Waltham Forest but most importantly try to bring change and hope for my friends and neighbours in what are increasingly dark times.

What Richard stands for
Please vote for me as your councillor for Markhouse so that I can fight for you, for a safer, cleaner, greener and fairer Waltham Forest.

I think we can be much more ambitious together – improving air quality, public transport, affordable housing, and insulating to bring down bills. We need to be more radical and pro-social in our solutions in ways that supports everyone, are inclusive, prioritise the well-being of young people, the vulnerable and safeguards the future.

I would always seek to do this with the community, in a transparent and honest way, answerable to you.
