Full statement
I’m originally from Canada and have lived with my partner in the area since 2017. I currently work in hospitality at Co-op Live and the AO Arena.
I’m a dedicated social activist and have campaigned for many years on a range of important and urgent issues including climate action, social housing, universal education and healthcare, multiculturalism and corporate and governmental corruption. I will bring my dedication to these issues to local politics'.

A bit more about me & why I'm running to be your next councillor, folks...
As someone who was born & raised in a different country, has previously worked in education - both in the UK & abroad - as well as having gained experience in the charity sector combatting poverty & preventing homelessness, I have a keen sense of the complex challenges many of us face in our daily lives.
I was previously involved with TfGM's sustainable journeys project, am a keen cyclist, love visiting my local public library, and regularly volunteer with my local community garden centre in neighbouring Failsworth, helping folks connect with nature, themselves & each other.
I have an intimate understanding of what it's really like living on a low income, working zero-hour contracts, struggling to pay the household bills & save money at the same time, and the personal & material sacrifices many of us have been forced to make to just make ends meet.
OUR FIVE KEY POLICY AREAS - MANCHESTER GREEN PARTY
All of our candidates will stand for national Green Party policies, which are decided democratically by members. Additionally, we have outlined five key policy areas that elected candidates will prioritise in the year ahead. These priorities are:
Tackle the climate crisis:
- Ensure that Manchester City Council’s commitment to tackling climate change and biodiversity loss brings about a cleaner, healthier, more affordable city.
Cut the cost of living:
- Tackle the rising cost of living by giving Manchester more affordable and energy-efficient homes and investing in the local economy.
- We will invest in social housing and make rents truly affordable for residents.
Transform Manchester’s transport:
- We will call for free bus travel for all under-22s.
- We will also call for action to tackle bad driving and illegal parking and will promote active travel, making our streets safer and healthier.
Improve health, welfare and opportunities:
- Ensure better public services.
- We will guarantee Mancunians access to green spaces like gardens, playgrounds and parks.
- We will also tackle litter and fly-tipping so we all live in places to be proud of.
Stand with migrants and marginalised communities:
- Show solidarity with Manchester’s marginalised communities and with migrants, and support the resettlement of all those fleeing conflict.
