Statement to voters
I have lived in the Walpole area of Ealing for over thirty years.

I moved here whilst I was working at the BBC’s Community Programme Unit producing and directing campaigning programmes on many social issues such as the immigration system, unemployment and bias in the media. I continued the spirit of this work into my subsequent time at Channel 4, commissioning many programmes concerned with human rights and global development. I spent the last phase of my career as Managing Director of an independent production company before retiring a few years ago. I now volunteer as a teacher of English as a foreign language at a community school in Ealing. I have been drawn to the Green Party’s positive campaigning on environmental, racial and social justice for some time and joined the Party in 2025.
I am particularly interested in supporting policies which: address Ealing’s distressing lack of social housing with developments that meet the needs of local communities; support Ealing’s status as a Borough of Sanctuary; resist future threats to our environment and health such as airport expansion; enhance and expand bio-diversity programmes for the benefit of everyone who lives in the borough.
