Statement to voters

I joined the Green Party because it offers something that no other party does – hope.

Full statement

The hope for a better life for everyone and everything that lives on the planet.
In the 20 years I’ve called Ealing home, I’ve fought to make our borough greener and better. The hardest fight was to save Warren Farm. As one of the core campaign team, we fought for five years to save this precious habitat from Labour’s development plans. I’ve worked with CURB (Clean Up The River Brent) to improve our local waterway, protected a secret bluebell wood, and campaigned to make the urban environment better too – from School Streets to Clean Air campaigning.
To steal a quote from Green Party Leader Zack Polanski, there is no environmental justice without social justice. I believe that we live in a time of great inequality. Having raised a family while working several jobs – landscape gardener, decorator, handyman, writer – I know the struggle to pay bills as prices soar. And the anger at seeing the divide between the average worker and the super-rich widen yet again. The Green Party are the only party with plans to change this unfairness. This local election is a chance to be part of that change.
