I proudly served my country for six years in the Royal Anglian Regiment, an experience that shaped my values of discipline, service and commitment.
I will always put family, community and country first.
As your Lincolnshire County Councillor for Hartsholme, I am active and accessible. I hold regular monthly surgeries at The Swanholme pub, as well as walk-in and street surgeries, ensuring residents can easily raise concerns and have their voices heard.
My local priorities are clear. I will push the City Council to take action on issues that matter to our community, starting with repairing the Black Bridge in Hartsholme Park. I also want to see more dog waste and litter bins installed to keep the area clean and tidy, alongside additional sheltered seating so the park can be enjoyed by everyone. There is also real opportunity to make better use of existing space by introducing more play equipment for all age groups.
At council level, I will put forward two key motions. The first is to strengthen planning rules to better protect flood plains and green spaces; areas that should be preserved and enhanced for community use, such as parks and football pitches.
The second is to change housing policy to prioritise homeless veterans for HMO accommodation.
I will also review council-owned assets to ensure they deliver real social value, Including supporting essential services such as post offices, pharmacies, community hubs and youth centres.
Finally, we need to revitalise our high street. This starts with the Cornhill Market; transforming it into a thriving, traditional market by reducing rents and supporting local businesses to grow, increasing footfall and bringing life back into the area.
