I'm Freya and I'm standing as your Green Party candidate.

I came to Surrey for work and it quickly became home. The place itself is beautiful and the sense of community here is something I want to protect and strengthen for everyone who lives here.

By day I'm a flavour chemist and outside of work one of my greatest passions is aerial arts which I also teach in Haslemere. I'm a supporter of Cats Protection, Greenpeace and the Surrey Wildlife Trust and those values of care for animals and our natural world run through everything I believe in politically.

I believe the Green Party stands for something more than the politics of the day. It refuses to cling to a status quo that is leaving our communities behind and wants to build a stronger foundation from which something new can grow, bringing us together rather than dividing us, whatever our differences.

What I will fight for

If elected I will:

• Push for more social housing with sustainable features and developments that genuinely work for the communities they are built in
• Make sure consultations with local people are properly heard and that developers stick to their agreements
• Take on the privatised water companies. The River Wey has seen sewage dumps nearly one hundred times lasting over one thousand hours. That is shameful and I will hold water companies and sewage works to account
• Monitor our waterways and fight for clean rivers for everyone in Surrey
