I am standing because I believe the Green Party stands for something more than the politics of the day.

It refuses to cling to a status quo that is leaving our communities behind and wants to build a stronger foundation from which something new can grow, bringing us together rather than dividing us, whatever our differences.

I am a researcher at the University of Surrey and a resident here in Guildford South East. Outside of work I am a keen choral singer at Holy Trinity Guildford and you will find me most weekends either out hiking or playing tabletop games.

What I will work towards

Two issues concern me most for our area. If elected I will:

• Work to protect our community from the ridiculous levels of debt West Surrey will inherit. Too many opportunities for local people have been squandered by short-term thinking and I want to help change that
• Push to hold water companies and sewage works to account for the pollution of our waterways. The River Wey has seen sewage dumps nearly one hundred times lasting over one thousand hours. That cannot continue
• Seek to deliver more social housing with sustainable features and developments that genuinely work for the communities they are built in
• Make sure consultations with local people are properly heard and that developers stick to their agreements

I care deeply about this area and want to do my part in helping it become the best it can be for everyone who lives here.
