Statement to voters
I have lived in Salford for 30 years since leaving university and moving here for work.
Full statement
I spent 15 years supporting people with mental health conditions and saw first-hand how factors such as poverty and poor housing contributed to mental ill health.
I have seen food banks become a part of everyday life for many people in Salford and the number of people including families living in temporary or unsuitable housing has only increased.
I joined the Green Party last year because I wanted to try and do something about the continuing inequality I see around me every day. With the Green Party's help we can make Salford a fairer and more equal place for everyone.
