I would like to be considered as a district councillor for the Buckden Ward because Buckden is our home, and we have grown attached to the village and people who make Buckden such a special place to live.

Although I am new to local government, I have gained crucial transferable skills as a retired civil servant with a thorough understanding of working collaboratively across the private sector, government departments at home and abroad including: The MOD, FCDO, and UKAid. I have led capacity building projects with domestic and foreign police and defence services to establish post conflict security and governance infrastructures within fragile states.

If I am elected and trusted to represent the people of Buckden, Diddington, and Southoe the only promise I can make is that I would use my analytical and communication skills to ensure the interests of all residents are fairly represented. I hold credibility and integrity as the highest trust attributes, and believe that everyone should have a voice, and a say, in the development of services to future proof the delivery of services. We are all to an extent all codependent and achieve what’s in our best interests when we work together.

Finally, please exercise your right to vote, sadly, many people across the world still do not enjoy such a privilege.
