I became a Councillor in 2018, handling hundreds of cases annually. In 2025, left Labour and became an Independent Councillor so that I can freely speak up for residents. My achievements include:

1. Putting the #communityfirst with such success that I get referred to residents in other wards;
2. The saving and renovation of a derelict WC block into the community cafe building in Bostall Gardens;
3. The establishment of two Parks Friends groups and a CLT group, encouraging residents to be more actively engaged in decisions that affect them and their environment; I’ve engaged lots of residents in civic activities, and helped them challenge HMOs and big developments;
4. The impact of the above leading to Bostall Gardens being awarded the fantastically colourful Roger Federer makeover of the tennis courts;
5. Recommended the development of derelict garages attracting ASB into well needed social housing which is finally starting to be processed.
6. A mini-orchard project - producing free fruits annually and
7. A permanent and mobile CCTV jplacements at flytipping hotspot
