I live in Haverhill with my wife and our four-year-old son. We’ve chosen to build our life here, and this town means a lot to me.

I’ve spent over ten years working in public service, including at Cambridge City Council where, as a Democratic Services Officer (City Clerk), I was a part of the democratic decision-making process and saw first-hand how local government works. I now work here in Haverhill, and I care about what happens in our community.

It feels like one of those moments where people are asking what kind of place they want to live in. For me, Haverhill is a town where people look out for each other. A place where you can ask your neighbours for help. We don’t look for people to blame. That sense of community really matters, and it’s something worth holding on to.

There are some people who’ve told me I can’t win. The outcome has already all but been determined, according to them. Maybe that’s true, maybe it isn’t. But I believe there are more of us who care about this town, its character , and its future than people think. That’s what gives me hope. If you believe it too, make your voice heard this election.

At the end of the day, I’m thinking about the kind of place my son will grow up in and that’s why I’m standing.
