I’ve had the privilege of calling Haverhill my home for over 24 years now, and in that time, I’ve seen our town go through tremendous changes. Some very positive, but like any community, there are areas where it could be better. For years, I’ve found myself thinking, ‘I wish this was different,’ or ‘Someone should fix that.’ But I’ve come to realize something important: change doesn’t happen by chance. It happens when people step forward and take action. And that’s why I became interested in standing to be part of the town’s voice. Haverhill has always had a strong community spirit, proud residence, a rich history, and recently an ever-growing population. But it still faces some challenges, whether it’s improving local services, creating more opportunities for young people, supporting our businesses, or making our town an even better and safer place to live. These are not problems for someone else to solve. They’re opportunities for all of us to work on together and make them our common goals. I believe regeneration isn’t just about buildings or infrastructure, it’s about people. It’s about creating a town where families feel proud to live, where businesses thrive, and where everyone has a voice in shaping the future. That’s the kind of Haverhill I want to help build. Like I said, I’m not just talking about what needs to change, but to be part of that change. Whether it’s through volunteering, supporting local initiatives, or working with the council, I’m ready to put my energy into making a difference.
