Local politics is important and I am very concerned about what goes on around me.
We need councillors who have the time for everyone – I do I am retired. I have also been a career for many years.
We need fly tippers stopped, clean litter free environments, bins emptied, safe places for children to play, our precious nurseries being kept open/reopened after the cruel cuts by the Labour council, we need support services for the elderly, fully funded council care homes, preservation of historic buildings, no building on green belt, preservation of our cultural history and opportunities for business growth.
The council is so badly managed wasting money on this daft scheme or that. I want to see every penny of our tax money scrutinised, questions asked like do we actually need this, who will benefit and as your local Conservative councillor represent what the communities’ views are.
We should be looking at creating wealth for our city, matched funding wherever possible and encouraging new business whilst supporting the existing ones
