Statement to voters
Dr David Hitchmough is standing in the May 2026 local elections in Cherryfield ward.
David is a lifelong Kirkby resident and community activist who decided to stand this year after the discovery of a large illegal waste dump on the boundary of Cherryfield, which adds to the many pressing issues Cherryfield is facing. David chose to stand as an Independent candidate, believing this is the best way to represent his community, as it means he will be answerable only to his community, not to a Party.
This statement was added by David Hitchmough, their team, or by a Democracy Club volunteer, based on information published by the candidate elsewhere.
