Pete served on the Bolton at Home Scrutiny Panel, contributing resident-led insight and challenge, and was one of the driving forces behind the removal of 37 tons of rubbish from Johnson Fold — a practical achievement that reflected coordination, persistence, and community cooperation rather than rhetoric.
He is the creator and online editor of the borough’s third-largest local media network, which he built from scratch.

Starting with no existing infrastructure, Pete assembled a dedicated team and developed a platform focused on amplifying resident voices, sharing local information, and holding power to account. The network prioritises lived experience over spin and has become a trusted source for community-led reporting.

Pete is disabled and autistic, and works alongside his assistance dog, Princess, who supports him in both daily life and community engagement.
