I'm standing for election because I care about this community. I believe the Green Party's values and ambitions match with what I think Thurrock needs. Every one of us deserves to be heard and be proud of where we live.

I was originally born and brought up in east London and have lived in Thurrock for over ten years. I’m an NHS professional, mum of two young kids, wife, and owner of a cat (or maybe the cat owns me…).

I’m aware of ongoing concerns such as sub-standard council housing and a lack of social housing; rising crime and antisocial behaviour along with people feeling that the police aren’t responsive; dissatisfaction with local NHS services; an increase in fly tipping and rubbish including dog fouling; the train station not being fit for purpose. At times it feels as if we as a community are divided and not always listened to.

Nationally, the Green Party have called for a £5 billion yearly increase in local government funding which would help towards the underfunding and mismanagement of public money that we as residents are experiencing. They have also called for local authorities to invest in youth services, community-based policing, and protecting green spaces from development. We need more housing but we should also protect green spaces like Thameside and Langdon Nature Reserves that we are lucky to have.

A vote for me would be a vote for Thurrock to be a part of positive change, hope, and unity for all of us.
