Statement to voters
Moira Ramage has lived in the Bishopton and Erskine area for over 30 years.
Full statement
She is an active member of the local community council, where she champions issues that matter to residents.
Moira studied Law at the University of Edinburgh qualifying as a Solicitor in Scotland. She spent much of her career with the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, serving as District Procurator Fiscal for the area.
She was later invited to work for the Scottish Government, where she led a flagship bill through the Scottish Parliament, delivering legislation aimed at improving the court experience for victims and witnesses. In addition, she was appointed as a member of the Parole Board for Scotland and served as a legal advisor to major medical professional regulators.
Moira now works in the private sector, supporting businesses with contracts, planning matters, and a range of legal issues.
She is currently campaigning for a new secondary school in Dargavel, following the development of over 4,000 family homes, which has resulted in pupils being bussed to and from Park Mains High School in Erskine.
Moira believes that hard-working families should be rewarded and that there has been long-term neglect and under-investment in Scotland, leaving many talented people behind and reliant on welfare. Justice and fairness are two of her core values, and she is committed to delivering for those in her constituency. She believes she has the experience and gravitas to do so effectively.
