Alvie is committed to ensuring Portsmouth is a city that everyone feels comfortable and proud to call their home.

Born and brought up in Portsmouth, he has witnessed how local government decisions affect the city he loves.
Alvie has campaigned with local groups involved with increasing community cohesion, rejecting racism and identity-based hatred, and advocating for local and international human rights issues – such as in Palestine – to be recognised and resolved.
Since graduating from the University of Portsmouth, he has worked as a data engineer on environmental monitoring sensors, enabling companies and local authorities to make more informed decisions – and prevent pollution, flooding, and expensive maintenance.
As your councillor, he would be a passionate and reliable voice for St Jude’s, making sure that resident concerns are duly represented and considered in council, and that Portsmouth is a welcoming and tolerant city for all.
