I’ve lived in Dereham all my life and am proud to be standing as your Green Party candidate to represent everyone across the Dereham North and Scarning district.

I grew up here, in a working class family like many of you. I’ve seen the struggles that everyday people face all my life and I’ve also seen the unwavering kindness and quiet community spirit that defines who we are. Representing us is not a responsibility I would take lightly.

Right now, hard working people are struggling to make ends meet, roads and essential public services are falling into disrepair, and politicians seem to care more about playing political games than standing up for the people they were trusted to represent. I firmly believe that the Green Party is the party best positioned to deliver real change. Voting Green at all levels sends a clear message that we will no longer tolerate politicians who protect a wealthy few at the expense of us, our communities and our planet.

Should you entrust me with your vote on 7th May, I will use everything at my disposal to tackle our local issues:

• Protecting road users and their vehicles by ensuring our roads are safe, well maintained and properly designed to reduce congestion.

• Reducing stress and anxiety for our parents and children by ensuring there is sufficient SEND provision in our schools.

• Tackling fly-tipping by making our recycling centres more accessible.
  Working to reduce flood risk in rural areas.

• Standing up for our marginalised communities by ensuring Norfolk County Council is an inclusive council that strongly opposes discrimination at all levels.

• Connecting our rural communities by pushing for improved availability of bus services, GPs, social care and other essential services.

And most importantly, I will always listen to your ideas and concerns and make sure your voice is heard at county hall. I believe improving our community is something everyone should have the chance to be involved with.

Rest assured, I and my fellow Green Party candidates are united in our mission to bring hope back into politics. At Breckland Green Party we have a wealth of experienced members, many of whom have been living in Breckland and been involved with local politics for decades and are eager to assist us in delivering change.
