Statement to voters
For too long the Liberal Democrats have managed the decline of our council, selling factions of it off to private companies now charging the taxpayer a fortune, allowing big US corporations to come before our much adored but struggling local businesses, and hiking up council tax to cover the cost.

I work in finance by trade, and for me it’s not adding up! Hull deserves better. Now they’re running on a campaign of “it’s us or Reform”. We saw Labour do this in Caerphilly, then Gorton and Denton. Complacency and assumption of support is not the way to hear constituents, and at the Green Party we understand that. We’re not backed by billionaires, and have a fraction of the funds other parties have, so all of our campaigning is done by volunteers rolling our sleeves up and getting stuck in at every opportunity. We’re grassroots, and proud of it. It’s been a joy to campaign with so many passionate, dedicated people who share my vision for a fairer community built for everyone to thrive.
