I’m proud to be the Conservative candidate for St Oswalds Ward in the LOCAL May 2026
elections. Having lived here for 25 years, this community is my home — and I care deeply
about the people and places that make it so special.
I am actively involved in local life — volunteering at church and supporting community
fundraising projects, but most people will know me best for fighting to protect our precious
green spaces. Since 2021 I have been a lead campaigner against both cemetery applications,
along with other major threats to our green spaces including the BESS application and major
housing developments.
With a background in business, a mother, former teacher, and someone who now cares for
elderly family members, I understand the pressures families face and the importance of
compassion, communication and practical problemsolving.
My commitment to West End, Stanhill, Knuzden, Belthorn and Oswaldtwistle is simple: I will
work hard to protect our area, ensure it remains a priority for council spending, and stand
up for our community through the upcoming Unitary Council changes.
If elected, I will serve with honesty, transparency and respect. My priorities include:
 Protecting and enhancing our green spaces
 Working with police to tackle rising car crime
 Supporting local businesses and community activities
 Keeping our area clean, safe and wellmaintained
 Championing clubs, amenities and opportunities for young people
 Being a visible, approachable councillor who listens
On May 7th, it’s important to vote for someone who truly knows this area — someone
who lives here, understands our challenges, and cares about our future. I will always work
to protect and improve the quality of life for everyone across our ward.
