Richard Chinn is standing as one of the candidates in Ewell Court, Auriol and Cuddington Ward:
Richard joined the Royal Navy after leaving school and trained as an engineer.

He left and held various engineering posts. After completing a masters engineering degree Richard came to know Epsom when he started working for a large engineering company in the area in the late 80’s. He realised what a lovely place it would be to live and moved to the borough in the early 1990s settling and raising his family. He has travelled extensively with his work including moving with his family to Delhi for four years. Now, soon to be retiring Richard would welcome the opportunity to work in and with his local community.
Married to Kate who has been a councillor in the borough for 11 years Richard has a good understanding of what the role entails. Richard has gone out with the Court Ward Cllrs supporting them talking to residents to identify any support needed to address issues within the area.

Additionally, he has a good understanding of the challenges facing residents, the cost of living, ASB
and the current shockingly poor state of the roads. Richard will work to support residents liaising with other services and holding the new East Surrey council to account to ensure they provide an excellent service for their residents
