Jeannette moved to Crowborough from Tunbridge Wells fifteen years ago and has worked to improve the lives of local people ever since.

She is working closely with Nus Ghani and Crowborough Shield to fight the Home Office’s plans at Crowborough Army Camp and is out stewarding the marches most Sundays. Jeannette is also working with Nus Ghani to push for the reopening of the Birthing Unit at Crowborough Hospital and for the MIU to be sustainably staffed.
Jeannette has worked with local people and the CPRE to fight planning applications on green field sites, particularly focusing on the damage to fragile habitats. She also worked with local people to try to turn the old lavatory block in the car park at Jarvis Brook into a Community Hub and is very pleased that Southern Rail has now provided space for one at the station.
