Statement to voters
I’ve lived in the Ward for 25 years now, and it’s a really lovely neighbourhood.

That despite the general neglect that comes with being on the edge of the Borough. Everything comes last to New Southgate, if at all. We need affordable and secure housing, but recent experience with the Council planning process shows just how quick they are to push inappropriate development designed for private gain. The flytipping and general rubbish make the streets feel uncared for and unsafe, and safety for women and girls is a passion of mine. And the pollution from the A406 is a threat to all our health.
The Council desperately needs Green voices to scrutinise decision-making, and make sure it is responsive to a more diverse Enfield. It’s been in the hands of Labour and the Tories for too long.
