I have been a local Councillor for 20 years, proudly serving my community at Saffron Walden Town and Uttlesford District Councils and have been honoured to serve as Town Mayor on 3 occasions and be Chair of the District Council and believe that being an ambassador for your community is a privilege.

Saffron Walden and the surrounding villages have been misled, mistreated and misguided by the Conservative run Essex County Council. We have been overpromised and underdelivered on highways repairs, social services and education, all things that have a direct impact on every tax payer in our community.

The roads leading to Chelmsford are in a much better state than those which we have to endure locally. As someone who spent all my working life with my car as my office, I can categorically say that Essex roads are without doubt some of the worst in the country.

My pledge to you is that I will prioritse the services which have been left to rot and look forward to grabbing Highways by the neck to ensure we get quality and value for money in all contracts and from contractors.
