Statement to voters
"I’m standing as your Reform UK candidate because I believe every resident in Beechdale, Leamore, and Reedswood has a fundamental right to feel safe in their own home and on their own street.
Full statement
Right now, that isn't happening. We’ve been left to deal with the fallout of 'soft-touch' policing and a council that has lost its grip on our local hotspots.
I’m here to be a friendly face for our law-abiding neighbours, but a nightmare for those making our lives a misery.
If you vote for me, I will:
Reclaim Stephenson Square: This area shouldn’t be a 'no-go' zone for our seniors or families. I will fight for a permanent police 'pod' or a regular, fixed-time mobile station until the gangs and bike-nuisance are cleared for good.
Stop the Reedswood School Plan: Safety isn't just about crime; it's about our environment. I will fight the plan to build on Reedswood Park. Destroying 14 acres of our green space will bring chaos to our roads, making them less safe for our children and causing gridlock for residents. We need to protect our woodland, not pave over it.
End the 'Fly-Tipping' Arson Cycle: We’ve seen the car fires and the rubbish blazes near the canal. This isn't just a mess; it's a danger to our homes. I will demand the installation of high-quality CCTV in known dumping spots and push for immediate prosecution of those setting fires in our ward.
Demand Common-Sense Policing: Reform UK is about getting officers out from behind desks and onto the pavements. I’ll be a constant thorn in the side of the Police and Crime Commissioner to ensure our ward gets its fair share of patrols—especially in the evenings around the Wyrley Estate and Reedswood Close.
Protect our Streets from Speeders: Our residential roads, like Remington Road, aren't racetracks. I’ll fight for community-led speed watches and proper traffic calming measures that actually work, rather than just more revenue-raising cameras.
The 'old' parties have had decades to fix this and failed. I’m not interested in excuses or 'wait-and-see' reports. I want results. This May, vote for a councillor who will prioritize your safety and our community's future over political correctness. Vote Reform UK."
