As a lifelong Brummie, I'm committed to Birmingham Green Party's manifesto for bringing hope back to our city.

Birmingham has so much to be proud of, from our rich cultural heritage to our calm green spaces and canal paths. Yet residents are bearing the brunt of poor decision making, that fails to make the most of all the things that make Brum such a great place to live. Instead we're left with housing inequality and rubbish piling up on our streets.

The Green Party does things differently to the two-party political system that many people are tired of. If elected, my focus will be on working with residents rather than taking a top down approach to making decisions. Our manifesto is built on listening to what people are telling us on the doorsteps, and developing policies that respond to their concerns. Pushing for an end to the bin strikes so we can all live in a clean environment, large-scale council house building to tackle homelessness and the housing crisis, and protecting support for children with SEND are just some of our priorities. We're campaigning for safer streets and better public transport too. But we can only start working to implement our manifesto by having Green councillors elected. If I'm elected on May 7th, I'll start working immediately alongside residents to push for our manifesto priorities to be implemented. It's time to make Birmingham a city where everyone feels safe, valued, and hopeful for our future.
