Full statement
We love being part of such a vibrant community, one where so many people are looking out for each other and caring for our local environment.
I became involved in local politics because of the experiences I've had as a parent. Our streets and public spaces are not designed with the most vulnerable in mind, and the council has missed so many opportunities to make moving around our city safer, healthier, and more environmentally friendly - these are basic rights that everyone deserves. If elected, I look forward to working with my neighbours and other councillors to deliver real change for Newcastle.
