Christyn Parkes lives in Haringey – having made her home in the UK 18 years ago after moving here from Canada.

She is a Senior Lecturer in History Education at King’s College London, a director of the Feminist Gender Equality Network, and co-lead of the Teaching American Studies Network. Since joining the Greens, Christyn has worked on party campaigns in London and beyond, while becoming more involved in local issues and LGBTQ+ rights. She is standing to tackle high rents, improve safety on local streets, and support a borough that is welcoming and inclusive. In Christyn, Haringey residents will have a councillor who is thoughtful, hardworking, and firmly on their side.
