Statement to voters

I’m Toby and I live in Meridian Water.

Full statement

I previously worked as an actor, having a small role on Game of Thrones and receiving critical acclaim in London’s West End. I now work in construction and live in Meridian Water with my wife who is expecting our first child.
I am a retired member of the Royal Navy Reserve, having submitted my resignation in response to the UK’s role in the Palestinian genocide. I studied B/A International Relations and Politics joint Major at Sussex University and M/A Acting at the University of Essex. I was born in and have lived in London most of my life.
Why am I standing?
I am invested in the future of Enfield as a community for myself and my new family
to grow in. With my knowledge of construction I can see first-hand the failings in the Meridian One council-led project which is years behind schedule with spiraling costs. The council is almost 1.5 billion pounds in debt and risks bankruptcy.
Fly tipping is out of control, there’s potholes everywhere, schools are closing and pollution and dust from waste centers is making residents’ lives a misery and endangering the health of our children. I believe the council has a fantastic opportunity to make Enfield an even better place to live for all of our rich and beautifully diverse community. I believe in Enfield, and I’m standing to hold the council, and be held by you, the residents, to account, because that’s what we all deserve.
A council that works for us, for all of Enfield.
The council has been dominated by Labour and Conservatives for too long. The Tories are making pledges they can’t afford to keep, even saying they’ll tear up cycle lanes put in by a Conservative government, not even realising this could cost us, the taxpayers, 20 million pounds.
Labour is dominated by careerists who put party politics above the needs of us, the residents. Reform simply do not represent our fantastically rich and diverse mix of cultures and ethnicities, and they want to sell off our treasured NHS. If you want your vote to matter, make it count and vote for Enfield Community Independents.
Dethrone Labour, and give residents a progressive voice on the council at last. Protect the North Middlesex hospital and our community services.
If you live in Upper Edmonton like me, vote Khalid Sadur, Toby Osmond and Meryem Kuscu.
In other wards, please use all your votes for ECI, and other ECI endorsed candidates.
Let’s get progressive voices on the council to fight to make Enfield the home we deserve.
