Statement to voters
I am Humaira Khan, I am a teacher and a DPSI qualified legal interpreter for the NHS, police and court.

I am also winner of Newcastle City Council's Community Champion Award for helping the NHS and coordinating between the Council and the community.
Above all, I am a social worker and a volunteer community worker. I believe that "To uplift a woman is to uplift a generation". My commitment is to ensure that women lead with purpose and pride in a truly inclusive Green movement.
As a woman councillor in the Green, I will do my best to facilitate and help workers, renter, migrants, and the planet. Together, we shall make Wingrove cleaner and greener for our children and community. I am standing for hope, not hate; peace, not war.
