Statement to voters

I am standing in the local election as I have lived here since 2005.

Full statement

During this time the Conservatives have been in power and I believe they have become too comfortable . They have run up a debt of £520 million , evidence that they are “ living beyond our means” .
I believe that this council can be run more efficiently , and there is ample scope to make savings. With over 2,500 staff we can start with that. However certain policies I would not want to change and would fight hard to keep , twice weekly bin collections and borough wide parking but the 20 mph apart from selected areas , hospitals , schools and black spots I would ban. So my moto is “ Kind yes but always be fair and responsible”
