Jorge has worked with young people in care and education for nearly a decade, providing specialist support for children with multifaceted complex needs in schools, youth centres and home settings.

Alongside his professional work, he is a passionate campaigner for climate action, affordability and social justice. As a councillor, his priorities would be the well being of young people and housing repairs.
Jorge said “I’m standing to be a Councillor for Canonbury to fight for the changes Islington desperately needs. Islington council has been a bad landlord for far too long, I’ve spoken to so many council residents in Canonbury who have been dealing with severe issues for years that the council have failed to resolve. As a teacher, I have seen the impact the affordability crisis has had on young people. Islington should be one of the greatest places in the country to grow up but for many it is not. As a councillor I would work for the well being of our young people and contribute to creating the brighter future they deserve.”
